Is there a more perfect costume for Halloween? How could there be? Oompa Loompa’s have been popular from the first time they were ever seen on the original 1971 movie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. While they have had a slightly spooky way about them, no one can deny that they had a wonderful message of morality. From songs about avoiding gluttony to melodic renditions about the dangers of being a selfish brat! Face people we NEED some Oomps Loompa influence out there in the real world and you are just the person to make it happen.
Along with their life lessons put to music, these little chocolate factory workers were also very spiritual. In the early novel they are described as African pygmies. They are a happy and fun loving society of pygmies, who are forced to eat mashed up worms because of where they live. Then along comes Willy Wonka and his amazing solution. All he had to do what tell them that he would pay them with their favorite food, the cacao bean! Shear brilliance on the part of Willy, right? His chocolate factory will never be short on cacao beans, so of course he has exactly what this delightful group of people wants. The perfect symbiotic relationship is born, and the magical chocolate factory blossoms into the most amazing candy factory that has ever been known to man.
Your Oompa Loompa costume has a couple of options. The factory uniform from the original movie is a white jumpsuit with flared out pants. (Kind of like an old English Jockey uniform) The costume does not come with the wig, so you are definitely going to want to get your hand on that to complete the costume. Everything else, however, is covered in the costume.
Then you have the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie that just came out with Johny Depp and Willy Wonka. These Oompa Loompa Costumes are bright red shiny jumpsuits that look just like the real thing. We also have the wigs to go with that costume. These wigs are not the green fuzzy haired wigs from the old movie. They are black and pulled back into a pony-tail.
What ever it is that you are looking for as a stylish Oompa Loompa we have it here and you are not going to find better prices unless you are trying to make your own Oompa Loompa costume. Either way, you are going to have a blast this Halloween.
Don’t forget to get the full effect by having your face makeup all set and ready to go as well. Remember that an Orange face and Green hair are the in thing with Oompa Loomp’s.
